European premiere of Gulf Craft’s striking entry-level superyacht makes a splash at the Cannes International Boat Show

With its ingenious utilization of indoor and outdoor space, clever fly-bridge and deck design and an outdoor entertaining area made for island hopping, it’s no surprise the Majesty 105 has turned heads with its European premiere in Cannes today.

Gulf Craft’s entry level superyacht has proved highly popular since its global premiere last year, with several Majesty 105s already delivered in the meantime.

Choosing to bring it to European waters at Cannes this year underscores Gulf Craft’s increasing inroads into the mature European yacht market and its growing distinction as a yacht maker that favours innovative design and engineering.

“The Majesty 105 is a superyacht created with a Mediterranean lifestyle in mind,” says Erwin Bamps, Chief Operating Officer. “We favoured a form that followed functionality, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. The yacht was conceived to maximise on-deck lounging and entertaining areas as well as to be very liveable for an extended stay on the water,” adds Bamps.

The raised pilothouse superyacht has a commanding, almost muscular exterior design with a naturally flowing fly-bridge that is directly connected to the front bow area.

With a wide open-edged sun deck equipped with an interactive lounging area and soft sofa seating, a wet bar, fridge, icemaker and barbeque and outdoor steering helm, the Majesty 105 is made for outdoor entertaining – perfect for admiring the coast on an island-hopping itinerary or catching all the action moored alongside waterfront racing circuits.

The interiors echo the generous outdoor space with a wide main saloon. The owner’s suite on the main deck features a private office and lobby area, full beam cabin, spacious bathroom including a large bathtub, central shower area, separate washroom and wide oval windows that enhance the natural brightness of the cabin.

The Majesty 105 also features very spacious crew quarters for a superyacht of its size and impresses with its ample cold and dry storage. The main living areas are designed to offer both practical and aesthetic benefits in terms of plenty of concealed storage and a stylish interior layout.

“In the past few years we have invested in conceptualizing yacht designs that offer something different, such as our Gulf series of yachts that celebrate the “living on water” concept mimicing a luxury apartment on the water,” said Bamps.

“At Gulf Craft our focus in recent months is increasingly geared towards more innovative engineering design solutions,” continued Bamps. “We are continually investing in expanding our capabilities and are aiming towards further automation of our manufacturing processes, with investments both in hardware and software. We are also enhancing our in-house engineering design capabilities and skill-sets of our workforce in the shipyard.

“We have been gaining greater prominence in Europe in the past two years with a more visible presence of some our largest superyachts – namely the Majesty 135 and the Majesty 125 – in European waters. As familiarity and recognition of the Majesty Yachts offering grows, we are very excited by what this means for our presence in the region, both in the smaller boats and yacht categories. Gulf Craft is extending its product range across the board, from the 27-foot Oryx sport cruiser right up to our largest superyacht currently in construction, the Majesty 155, so it’s an exciting period in our company’s 31-year history.”

Gulf Craft will display the Majesty 105 at SYE 027, Vieux Port de Cannes at the Cannes International Boat Show 2013, which takes place from September 10th-15th.
