Dubai, UAE, 31 October 2023: Students from the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI), the region's exclusive design and innovation-focused university, visited the Gulf Craft Experience Center in Dubai, a hub of creativity and expertise dedicated to the craft of yacht and boat design.
Led by Professor Elmar Schüller, an internationally established business, design, and innovation expert, and the former Vice President of the Red Dot Design Award, the students engaged in interactive workshops and discussions aimed at broadening their horizons in yacht design and production.
The focus is on Gulf Craft's vertically integrated operation, covering concept creation, design, engineering, and opportunities in the yacht sector, which is a thriving industry in the United Arab Emirates.
The interactive session is part of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between DIDI and Gulf Craft. This collaboration aims to nurture the next generation of innovators and designers in the marine industry, solidifying their shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of yacht design and innovation. The collaboration within the regional pioneers i:e Gulf Craft & DIDI is a step forward in ensuring that the UAE remains at the forefront of the yacht and boat manufacturing.
