11th December 2015- Gulf Craft recently welcomed a group of 20 participants from the prestigious Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Leadership Program (ALP) to its Majesty Yachts and Nomad Yachts shipyard, where the aspiring young leaders had a unique opportunity to learn about some of the secrets of Gulf Craft business success story.
The ALP participants toured the Gulf Craft factory in Umm Al Quwain as part of an intensive one-week offsite excursion designed to equip them with the practical experience they need to grow in their careers.
Following the tour, participants were invited to a question and answer session with Mohammed Hussein Al Shaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft, who shared his personal insights heading one of the world’s leading superyacht shipyards.
The prosperity of any economy depends on its ability to cultivate a homegrown workforce, and that is why it is imperative that we pass on our expertise and experience to our young professionals. Such information is invaluable and equips them with the knowledge and skills set they need to not only survive, but also thrive in their fields.
We recognize this at Gulf Craft, and that is why we are committed to reaching out to students from the UAE and the region to educate them about the core values of career development. Sharing these integral principles will lead the region to success, not only in the maritime industry, but across all sectors.
The six-month Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Leadership Program is open to GCC Nationals between the ages of 25 and 35 with a minimum of two years work experience. Participants are selected through a meticulous evaluation process that involves a series of interviews and psychometric testing. More than 500 applicants applied this year, out of which 20 were selected.
