Superyacht of the Week, the Majesty 122

Built by the UAE based shipbuilders Gulf Craft, the Majesty 122 is one of six Majesty superyachts that have thus far been launched by the brand. She features naval architecture, interior and exterior design completed in-house by Gulf Craft's Design Studio. Constructed with GRP and measuring 37.50 metres in length, she has a beam of 7.60 metres and a draft of 1.90 metres, she has a Gross Tonnage of 247 and is Bureau Veritas certified. Both inside and out, she looks every part the luxury fly-bridge superyacht she is.

On board she accommodates 10 guests over five spacious and welcoming cabins. The first is the opulent owner’s suite, which is located on the main deck. The brand have utilized dark, rich woods throughout her furnishings which contrast perfectly with the creams of the plush carpet and commodious bed. The whole area is flooded with natural light from the large windows, creating a sophisticated and rich, but light and airy ambiance for the owner’s to fully relax and enjoy their privacy within. Further space for relaxation is found in a large, comfortable, striped sofa situated next to the window, with a glass coffee table in front and a wooden armchair directly opposite.

All four guest cabins are located on the lower deck of the yacht, and consist of two double VIP cabins, as well as two twin cabins. Crew accommodation is also located on the lower deck of the yacht, at the fore. The two VIP cabins are identical to one another, and consist of a large bed, a desk area and an ample en suite bathroom. The beds also come with lighting underneath the frame of the bed, illuminating the floor around it and creating a unique experience for guest. As with the owner’s suite, vibrant artwork is found throughout the VIP rooms, with a large piece situated directly over the head of the bed. This gives the sophisticated styling an interesting edge, as well as brings a dash of color into the rooms.

The twin cabins are simple and sophisticated, with two comfortable single beds. The single beds also feature the illumination underneath the beds, providing guests with a special look and feel as they walk in at night time. The twin cabins are dominated by natural light thanks to the large window, allowing guests to wake up to spectacular views every morning.

The sophisticated and luxurious theme seen in the bedrooms is carried right through the yacht, and in her expansive main saloon found on the main deck, this is no different. This area is particularly impressive in terms of space, and seats more than enough guests on three large, light blush pink sofas, as well as two uniquely designed armchairs. In the middle is a large coffee table, which enables the ideal environment to enjoy an intimate afternoon tea, or enjoy socializing with drinks in the evening.

The main saloon is characterized by the large windows as well as the doors that lead out onto the main deck. This, again like the accommodation on board the Majesty 122, creates an extremely light and airy atmosphere. It also works to create a feeling of indoor/outdoor living, in that spectacular views are always attainable whilst sat inside, with the large doors granting access to a wonderful space to admire the outdoors and further relax under a shaded area with another large sofa and informal, al fresco dining table.

The main deck also hosts a large formal dining area, seating up to 12 guests in total. This area is superbly designed to look and feel as opulent as possible with white chairs and a magnificent lighting feature fitted directly above the large, glass table. The dining space is also placed above a further unique lighting feature on the floor, which illuminates the table and its diners in subtle and sophisticated built in lights.

Moving on to the outdoor areas on board the Majesty 122, the main deck also leads down on to the swimming platform, granting easy access in and out of the sea. Her fly-bridge is particularly notable for the large spaces available. As soon as you ascend the stairs from the main deck, a seating area is found with two armchairs and an additional sofa. The dark furniture has a woven basket look and feel to it, creating a cozy and homely feel to this space. Combined with the low glass coffee table at the center of this seating arrangement, offers guests a perfect space to chat with friends and family and unwind as the sun goes down.

Fore of the fly-bridge, a shaded area is found in which is clearly focused on entertaining, socializing and making the most of life on board. First is a large Jacuzzi, with a fully equipped bar located adjacent. The position of the Jacuzzi and the bar enable guests to still look out and enjoy great views of the outdoors. Forward of the Jacuzzi and bar is a further seating area, with two tables, allowing a further choice of space to enjoy the best of Al fresco dining. The cockpit provides yet another shaded seating area.

In regards to her performance, she is powered by twin Caterpillar C32 Acert 1,930 hp engines, which give her a maximum speed of 20 knots. The very first Majesty 122 made her debut in Kuwait in February of this year, with Gulf Craft also bringing the inaugural model to the Dubai International Boat Show later on that month.
